Why Companies Keep Dropping the Ball

The companies that figure out how to genuinely partner with these communities — not just exploit them — are going to end up with better-supported products and more loyal customers. The ones that keep shipping four-page pamphlets are going to keep watching their support burden get quietly absorbed by people who just really, really like their hobby.
